Anatomy Building - Additions and Renovations to Level 1

UCT - Anatomy Building - additions and renovations to Level 1. The project consists of internal and external alterations and additions (building, civils, electrical and air-Conditioning) to be undertaken in 2 Phases, in an area where anatomical specimens are handled. The scope includes, inter alia: internal and external modifications to RC concrete walls and floor surfaces; new brick walls with both facebrick, plastered and painted finishes; modifications to surface and subsurface reticulations and drainage; New floor slabs and footings; plastering, painting and floor finishes; joinery fittings - both new alterations, and additions; aluminium windows - installation; electrical installation - alterations and additions; air-conditioning ducting - alterations and additions. The tender is for the appointment of a main contractor. The electrical, air-conditioning, aluminium windows and joinery will need to be executed by specialised domestic subcontractors. The works need to be executed within tight timeframes determined by the UCT academic calendar, over the vacation periods.
