About this development
Construction of the bulk earthworks and civils for the Altydgedacht Mixed-Use Development, located on Portion 18 of Farm 276, Altydgedacht, Durbanville, Western Cape. Altydgedacht is a historic wine farm established around 1700, with the southern extent of the farm (±105.72 ha) being the focus area for development. The ±40ha development area will cover approximately 15% of the total farm area. The layout provides for seven development phases to be implemented in nonsequential order as service infrastructure and market demand allow. A total of 231 erven are proposed, accommodating approximately 1 234 residential units, together with mixed-use, community and open space components across a combined development footprint of ±40.11 ha of the total farm extent of ±260 ha. The residential development component includes a balanced mix of 214 single residential erven (<300m²), 807 three-storey apartment units, 44 two-storey duplex units, and 169 group housing units (includes retirement erven, two-storey walk-ups & one storey duplex units).
