About this development
Construction of Akon City in Cadastral de Mbodiene village in Senegal. The project will comprise of 7 districts that will make up the entire city. The district names and descriptions are as follows: District 1 (African Culture Village): Resort & Spa High Rise, 26 storey high-rise building with a total build up area will be 2 985,3m², it will comprise of retail, ballroom, business centre, restaurant, night club, spa center, fitness center and hotel. 20 chalets each with a total build up area of 2 566m². A two storey open market with a TBA of 9 924.2m². 3 storey Africa restaurant with a TBA of 5 876m². District 2 (Offices and Residential): The district will host 6 residential buildings, 30 storeys each and a TBA of 31 514.7m². 2 office buildings, 36 storeys each and a TBA of 81 678.2m². 4 parking structures, 15 storeys each and a TBA of 78 419.2m². District 3 (Entertainment District): The district will host a casino and resort high-rise building, 30 storeys with a TBA of 45 671.4m² with the following units a gambling area, retail, casino and hotel. An 8 storey stadium with a TBA of 75 137.7m². A 5 storey mall with a TBA of 49 594.1m². Resort & Spa high rise - 30 storey high-rise with a TBA of 46 240.5m². District 4 (Health & Safety): The district will host a 13 storey hospital, 29 942.3m². A 12 storey, outpatient center with a TBA of 22 117m². A 9 storey police station, with a TBA 14 338.7m². A 10 storey fire station with a TBA of 15 875.2m². District 5 (Education District): will host 3 school / institutional buildings (19, 15 and 31 storeys) (TBA of 52 764.8m², 70 472.1m² and 78 377.1m²) District 6 (Technology District): Technology parks with 4 buildings and District 7 (Senewood District): It will host the main focal point of the entire city, Akon Tower. A 68 storey building with a TBA of 144 563.4m². The building will house the following components: Retail, recording studios, hotel, offices, residential units, spa center, gym, restaurant and Akon club. Media tower, 31 storey building with a TBA of 27 997.2m². There will also be 4 filming studios within the district. The GPS coordinates are 14.2638192, -16.8816799.
