About this development
Development of a new diamond mine in Botswana known as AK6. The development of the mine will be a joint venture between De Beers and African Diamonds, known as Boteti. The mine could produce about one-million carats a year when in full production. The first phase capital cost is estimated at $120 million, which includes the process plant, all mine sites and off-site infrastructure as well as a 13% contingency.
