About this development
Construction of a 75 MW photovoltaic solar energy facility to be known as AEP Bloemsmond Solar 2 which will be developed on two farm portions, portions 5 and 14 on the farm Bloemsmond 455, situated approximately 30 km south west of Upington in the Northern Cape province. It is proposed to build two facilities and the net generating capacity of each proposed PV solar energy facility will be up to 75 MW. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the marker has been placed on farm Bloemsmond 455, 28°33'20.1"S 21°01'25.6"E.
