ACSA Cargo Warehouse Refurbishment

Refurbishment of the Airports Company South Africa Cargo Warehouse located at the O.R. Tambo International Airport on Jones Road, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, Gauteng. CIDB 9GB. The scope of works involves the following: Gate Reconfiguration: reconfiguring the cargo access, minimising vehicle conflict, identifying a road layout that supports optimum operational conditions for the cargo traffic; and separating cargo traffic from the general traffic. Cargo Warehouse Refurbishment: The scope to be undertaken will be predominantly compliance works for the fire protection system and other ancillary systems which are no longer compliant with statutory requirements and codes and in need of upgrading. It also includes surface treatments, structural repairs where required and sub-systems refurbishments and upgrades to achieve building regulations compliance, restore full functionality and provide for a safe, productive and aesthetically pleasing environment for tenants, and staff. In line with the project brief requirements, the project requirement requires the extension of the life cycle of the facility by another 10-15 years.
