Aboano power station is a proposed 700MW coal-fired power station located at Ekumfi Aboano, in the Ekumfi district of the Central Region, Ghana. It may be expanded to 210 MW. Apart from the power plant, another component of the project is a harbour to import the coal from South Africa and Columbia. Estimated project cost : US$1.5 billion.
