Construction of the 40 MW Kisumu Solar Power Station (also known as Kisumu One Solar Power Station or Kisumu Solar One), a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic farm on roadside land in the Kibos (Kajulu area), Kisumu County, Kenya. Project cost is approximately US$52 million. Scope of works could include: development of a 40 MWAC solar PV plant with flat-panel photovoltaic modules, single-axis tracking systems, installation on approximately 249 hectares (620 acres) of land, grid interconnection to the nearby Kibos substation (about 8 km away) for feeding power into the national grid, and associated infrastructure.
