Tender Details Tenders are invited for "Establishment of Remote Sensing Infrastructure in the Department of Surveys and Mapping" at Plot No. 1285, Station road, Gaborone. The establishment of Remote Sensing Infrastructure is to be accomplished by: Supply, installation and testing of necessary hardware and software to process satellite images; Providing formal and on-the-job training to staff in the proficient use of such hardware and software; Providing support and maintenance in order to keep the system operational on a sustained basis; Supply of satellite images as per requirement; Providing consultancy on Remote Sensing Infrastructure and geo-information policy to be adopted. The tender calls for submission of separate cost proposals and technical proposals with a view to ensuring that the quality of the proposed solution and the resultant and associated deliverables are the major determinants in the award of the tender. Notwithstanding anything contained in the foregoing, the government of the Republic of Botswana is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender nor incur any expenses in the preparation thereof. Interested tenderers, with proven record of expertise and experience in Remote Sensing and Digital Image Processing using both satellite images and aerial photography, are invited to make their bids.
