Tender Details Tenders are hereby invited for the Provision of Underground Coal Gassification Sub-Surface Modelling for PetroSA. PetroSA has initiated a project to evaluate the potential of Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) and requires interested parties to provide expertise in the formulation of models and modelling techniques in this environment. It will be expected that a company would need to model and will need to calculate the composition of the product gas (H2, CO, CO2, N2, CH4 (possibly up until C4 products) as function of the key parameters which will be agreed upon, taking all main reactions into account involved in coal gasification. Most of coal details (seam size, composition, density, structure, porosity, etc) will be provided and agreed upon. The diameter is growth as coal is converted into gas, which is linked to conversion, reaction rates etc). The following parameters would need to be modelled as inputs: The amount and composition of the air pumped down (O2:N2 (cryogenic, PSA, membrane) and CO2:CO:H2:CH4 as part of recycle stream). water pressure and water seepage.
