Project: Highway Design Kicukiro-Nemba-Gasenyi-Kirundo. The Office of the roads (OdR) of Burundi launches an invitation to tender for the completion of the work of asphalting of the section of road Gasenyi-Kirundo (20 km). The had aim is to contribute to the reinforcement of sous-régionale integration and to facilitate trade between the two countries and with outside. The project has as specific objectives of: to create a road link permanent between Rwanda and Burundi, practicable in all seasons, in order to disenclose the crossed areas and to reduce the time and the generalized costs of transport; to improve the living conditions of the populations of the zone of influence of the project, in order to contribute to the reduction of poverty; and to reinforce the technical capabilities and operational road services and frontier services. To contribute all the tenderers are allowed coming from country answering the criteria of source such as defined in the Rules of procedure of the Group of the Bank for acquisition from the goods and work.The adjudication of the Market will be subordinated to the approval of the gift by the FAD.
