THE Trinityhouse group of schools announced that Trinityhouse Glenvista, currently under construction, will be ready for its January 2020 intake.

“We are very excited at the prospect of bringing the Trinityhouse brand of education to the South of Johannesburg,” said managing director Andries van Renssen. “Trinityhouse is well known as a school that offers an excellent education with an emphasis on developing the whole child and we look forward to partnering with the community to offer just that.”

The school will open its doors for Grade 0000 to Grade Nine learners and will eventually encompass the full school up to Grade 12.

Construction of the facility has commenced on the corner of Bellairs Drive and Hantamberg Street. The site will consist of three schools housed on one campus. In addition to classrooms, sports facilities such as swimming pools, courts and fields will be built.

In addition to the traditional facilities that one can expect from a premium school, there will also be therapy rooms as well as a goLab which is a space in which 3D printers, laser cutters and other equipment used to enhance the curriculum.

“It is our aim to prepare our learners for the fourth industrial revolution which is why we offer a digital literacy curriculum that extends beyond teaching children how to use computers. Children as young as six are taught how to code. In addition to digital literacy there is also an emphasis on preparing learners for the future by focusing on the development of skills such as the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively,” said van Renssen.

Applications for 2020 are being accepted. Prospective parents are encouraged to attend the information morning at the Glenvista Country Club on March 9 or to visit www.trinityhouse.co.za
